GM! CARL

Terms of service

The house rules, readable.

These terms cover GM! Carl, GM Spaces, and everything the studio serves at gmcarl.xyz and its subdomains. Using them means you agree to this page.

The deal

What you're getting

GM! Carl is an indie studio run by Carl Lewis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The software is free during Season 0. Ticketed events are sold separately through their own platforms and carry those platforms' terms too.

Your account

You sign in with your email and you're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to use the service. Business accounts and their map pins are granted by approval and can be revoked if they misrepresent a place or a business.

Conduct

Keep the room safe and useful

No harassment, hate, discrimination, scams, spam, stealing ideas, doxxing, or using the community solely to promote, sell, or recruit. Be active, be helpful, and respect other members' time and privacy.

Breaking this gets your account suspended or removed. The room belongs to the people in it.

Your stuff stays yours

Whatever you post — your profile, your words, your audio when you go live — remains yours. You give us only the license needed to display and stream it inside the service. Delete it and the license ends.

The fine print, still readable

No warranty

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. It's an indie studio shipping in the open: things will occasionally break, change, or be retired, and when they do we'll say so out loud.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, GM! Carl isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from using the service. For anything the law does hold us liable for, liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months — which during Season 0 is zero.

Changes & leaving

These terms can change; material changes get announced on the site with an updated date below. You can leave any time — see privacy for how to delete your account and data.

These terms are governed by the laws of Wisconsin, USA.
