The kit

GM! Carl is an indie studio.

One nerd, his robots, and a homelab in Milwaukee. The studio makes things you can walk into — and GM Spaces™ is the latest thing it made. This page is the whole kit: the marks, the two looks, the voice, the rules. If it’s not in here, ask Carl before you make it up.

Two looks, one house

The studio presents. The product plays.

The house wears two skins on purpose. The studio is the gallery — ink walls, gold light, mono captions, serif headlines. It presents the work. The product is the zine — cream paper, 3px ink borders, hard offset shadows, pill chips. It is the work. Never mix them on one surface.

Zine energy — hand-made in the shop, never corporate. And one law the app added: inside GM Spaces every member’s room wears its own theme, light or dark, and the whole city follows the room. The cream kit is the house default, not a cage.

πŸ›  The studio

The brand behind the brands.

The person is Carl. The studio is GM! Carl™ — the name on the door of everything he ships: a 24/7 radio station, a Substack, a podcast, a discography, a novel, and now a room for a whole city. One person and his AI hands, building in the open. Real racks, not renders. Receipts, not vibes.

The current mark: Anton says GM!, Playfair says CARL, the position line in Geist Mono gold. This is the gallery face — use it on ink, posters, decks, and anywhere the studio presents.

GM Spaces — the thing the studio made.

A map of your scene that pays attention. Stations you can hear by zip. A membership you earn by showing up, with a receipt for every point. Shipped · live in Milwaukee · walk in →

The sponsor deliverable: one page after every checkpoint — what Milwaukee wants to gather for, what it wants built, and the funnel that proves the audience holds. Presence-verified, one member one vote, counted-not-named. Sponsors receive it after each checkpoint; this is the sample issue.
